Ramada Birmingham/Sutton Coldfield Hotel

Lovely gardens but the lounge area lacked a bit of atmosphere.

I loved tasty food.

Handy, particularly good location in Sutton Coldfield, near Sutton Coldfield for NEC, quiet suburb and restaurant great. Also, to walk around lake. Nicely refurbished units and amiable staff with a moody receptionist.

Could do with a bit of a re-furb.

Brilliant rooms complete with a view of the kitchens.

Ideal spot for a family getaway

The staff were just very nice went out of their way to help us especially when we needed extra towels for the kids and we enjoyed a lovely family dinner together at the bar area where the food was just gorgeous and the kids ate like kings

we thought the hotel was dated and could do with a major refurbishment very shabby

We found the staff very helpfull my husband cut his knee and got blood on the sheets they came and changed them straight away and the room service was very good we were very pleased with the hotel and would use it again

Spacious room but heating was broken and really cold. Staff not very helpful.

We got a really good deal for a one night stay. The pool and sauna were really good and breakfast was excellent. We had a room with a balcony ovelooking the river.

At check in, couldn't understand what the receptionist was saying as she was speaking to the computer screen in a strong brummy accent!

The staff were smart well mannered and polite. The food was of good quality and well presented. The location was delightful giving the impression of being in the countryside, yet close to the large towns and cities nearby. My wife and I for the most part thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would return the next time we are in that area.

Our room was on the ground floor which was a good thing, however it was quite a trek to it from reception, having to negotiate two flights of stairs, one up one down, this I believe was to pass over the kitchen. Some assistance with our baggage would have been a great help. However once we had worked out the lift arrangements this did improve our situation somewhat. The room was in a more recently built part of the hotel and although the location was peaceful the floors and walls were not well insulated for sound, this meant that people moving around could and did disturb that peace.

The hotel was modern and well priced. the staff were very very friendly and helpful, particularly the two Natalies. It is well located for the city via train and is in a very relaxed location

Request a room away from ongoing maintenance for a quieter experience, and enjoy the spacious breakfast area with a varied selection.
